Spring FAQs
How do I know the spring is broken?
The door may feel extremely heavy, won’t lift, or you’ll see a visible gap in the spring coil.
Can I open the door with a broken spring?
We don’t recommend it. The opener can be damaged, and the door can be unsafe. Call us — we’ll get you in and fix it correctly.
Do both springs need replacement?
On two-spring systems, we usually replace both so the cycle life matches and the door balances properly.
